If you are looking for a great way to find some Zen, look no further than the Red Mountain Resort in St. George, Utah. If you can’t find zen here, you cannot find zen anywhere!! This place was amazing!
I started off at the Sagestone Spa & Salon. As you walk through the doors there is a beautiful gift shop with all kinds of treasures and a full supply of all the products that they use at the spa. They have a full menu of amazing treatments to choose from. I picked up this great Pyrite bracelet from Mala and Mantra which I absolutely love!
The next stop was the locker room. It is equipped with a steam room, showers, a restroom and an area to primp and get ready for your treatment.
Once you have changed into your robe there is a relaxation room that has the most amazing view to enjoy while you lounge around and relax drinking peppermint tea, lemon water or Sanus Per Aquam Gemwater, the true elixir of life!
I chose the Red Mountain Revitalizer treatment which is a full 75 minutes. It begins with a smoothing sugar scrub followed by a nurturing full body massage beneath a warm Vichy shower. A luxurious scalp massage to cleanse and condition your hair and a sugar scrub facial. This treatment was the ultimate in pampering! I felt like I was being massaged while lying underneath a warm waterfall. Something I have never experienced before, so that was a fun treat.
My massage therapist was Jen Valadez and I highly recommend her! She is the cutest little red-headed gal with an infectious smile and laugh that made my experience so much fun. Make sure you request her if you ever have the opportunity to experience the Sagestone Spa.
After my spa treatment, I was able to spend some time on the grounds of the Red Mountain Resort. There are so many little places to relax and find zen throughout the resort. My favorites were the Zen Garden and the Labyrinth.
